AdBlue® Technology (SCR)

SCR System

This method aims to reduce the level of pollutant emissions such as nitrogen oxide (NOx) by combining the optimized ignition of the engine and the purification of exhaust emissions. The main factor of the procedure is the use of AdBlue®.

This dilution is sprayed into the exhaust gases before reaching the catalyst. The high heat generated at this point converts AdBlue® into ammonia. Then, as ammonia and counter-nitrogen oxides penetrate the catalyst, they react with each other and turn into two non-harmful elements, nitrogen and water vapour.
